3D Printing Update: Manufacturing Vertical Dominates CEE Spending

PRAGUE, August 1, 2016 – In a recent update to the Worldwide 3D Printing Spending Guide, International Data Corporation (IDC) estimates that organizations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) will invest more than $917 million in 3D printing hardware, software, services, and materials this year. IDC expects that 3D printing revenue in the CEE region will post a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 28.0% over the 2016–2020 forecast period, reaching $2.30 billion in 2020. Manufacturing, professional services, and education represent the three largest verticals in the forecast update, and are predicted to jointly account for over three-quarters of total CEE 3D printing spending in 2016. IDC Forecasts Wearables Shipments to Reach 2.5 Million Units in Central and Eastern Europe by 2020

PRAGUE, June 24, 2016 – Wearables shipments in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) have increased 78.7% year on year in the first quarter of 2016 to reach 328,000 units, according to the Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker published by International Data Corporation (IDC). Smart wearable devices account for one fifth of the whole market (21.4%), while basic wearables account for the remainder. PC Market Stability Remains Elusive as Markets Continue to Struggle

PRAGUE / FRAMINGHAM, Mass., June 13, 2016 – Worldwide PC shipments are forecast to decline by 7.3% year over year in 2016 according to an updated forecast from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker . The outlook continues to call for progressively smaller declines through 2017 followed by stable volume in 2018. However, growth in 2016 is now expected to be roughly 2% below earlier projections as conditions have been weaker than expected.
