New-Built Compatibles and Clones Now a Concern for CEE Remanufacturers

Prague, October 17, 2014 — The overall consumables market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) declined by 6.4% year on year in the first half of 2014. According to global market intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC), this is mainly the result of the shrinking installed base, especially in the consumer segment. Another key trend IDC identified on the CEE HCP and consumables market was the growing importance of new-build compatibles and clones competing against traditional local remanufacturers and refilling companies.
