FRAMINGHAM / PRAGUE, May 29, 2015 – Worldwide PC shipments are expected to fall by -6.2% in 2015 according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker . This will be the fourth consecutive year of declining volume as the PC market continues to struggle with competition from tablets and smartphones and generally low demand.

PRAGUE, May 25, 2015 – IDC Health Insights is seeing the emergence of a first wave of innovation accelerators based on the 3rd Platform technologies of cloud, mobility, Big Data, and social media. The Internet of things (IoT) is among the most important accelerators for IT innovation and digital transformation. IDC predicts that, though still in a nascent stage, the IoT market in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA) will take off rapidly, offering considerable potential for the rest of the decade.

PRAGUE, May 22, 2015 – Tablet and 2-in-1 shipments in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) declined by more than 20% in the first quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter in 2014, according to the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Quarterly Tablet Tracker published by International Data Corporation (IDC). Key factors in the expected market downturn were the negative economic situations in Russia and Ukraine and the strength of the U.S. dollar relative to the depreciation of their local currencies. LONDON / PRAGUE, May 19, 2015 — According to research by International Data Corporation (IDC), the Western European printer and multifunction (MFP) market increased 2.6% in unit terms compared with the same period a year ago, with positive growth for both inkjet and laser segments in line with IDC’s forecast. LONDON /PRAGUE, May 18, 2015 — According to figures published by International Data Corporation (IDC), the overall tablet market in Western Europe remained challenged in 1Q15, declining 10.5% year over year with total shipments totaling 8.5 million units. The contraction, however, was mainly the result of sluggish consumer demand as the expansion of tablets in the commercial space accelerates with volumes increasing 51.3% from the same period last year. FRAMINGHAM / PRAGUE, May 11, 2015 – According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Workstation Tracker, the overall certified workstation market experienced disappointing growth in the first quarter of 2015 (1Q15) after seven consecutive quarters of strong growth. Worldwide shipments for the quarter recorded a year-over-year decline of -1.7%, less than forecast projected growth of 2.4%. Overall shipments fell to 838,400 compared to 858,667 in the same quarter a year ago. (TZ)

PRAGUE / LONDON, April 24, 2015 — PC shipments in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) reached 20.2 million units in the first quarter of 2015 — a 7.7% decrease year on year, according to International Data Corporation (IDC).
