Worldwide Cloud IT Infrastructure Market Grows by 14.4% in the Fourth Quarter as Service Providers Continue to Expand Their Datacenters

PRAGUE / FRAMINGHAM, Mass., April 20, 2015 – According to International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Cloud IT Infrastructure Tracker , total cloud IT infrastructure spending (server, disk storage, and ethernet switch) grew by 14.4% year over year to $8.0 billion in the fourth quarter of 2014 (4Q14), accounting for approximately 30% of all IT infrastructure spend, up from about 27% one year ago. Private cloud infrastructure spending grew by 18.3% year over year to $2.9 billion, while public cloud infrastructure spending grew to $5.0 billion, 12.3% higher than one year ago. (TZ)

PC Market Decline Continues in Central and Eastern Europe

PRAGUE, April 3,2015 – PC shipments in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) totaled 18.55 million units in 2014, representing a year-on-year decline of 14.0%, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). The market contracted for the second year in a row, inhibited by currency fluctuations and economic slowdown in the Eastern part of the region.
